About SUSEP
SUSEP operates from the belief that employment is an upstream harm reduction intervention, meaning that being employed can provide stability, meaning, and purpose. For people who use substances, this can be life changing. However, there are significant barriers to employment for people who use substances. That's where SUSEP comes in.
The Substance Use Support and Employment Program (SUSEP) provides long-term, wrap around substance use support to individuals who are working, interested in working, or trying to work and want support with their goals around substance use and employment.
SUSEP services are participant directed, meaning that you tell us what you'd like to accomplish, and we help you get there through services like counselling, appointment accompaniment, advocacy, check-ins, connection to resources, and other supports.

SUSEP is operated by two staff members, both of whom are Canadian Certified Addictions Counsellors (CCAC) through the Canadian Addictions Counsellors Certification Federation (CACCF).
